The Mavericks were planning on the 30-year-old helping fill the void in the backcourt as Kyrie Irving recovers from a knee injury sustained last season.<\/p>\n<p>Injuries limited the 30-year-old Exum to 55 games in 2023-24 and just 20 games last season. Those were his first two seasons with the Mavericks after playing overseas in 2022 and \u201923.<\/p>\n<p>Exum was the fifth overall pick by Utah out of Australia in 2014. He played four-plus seasons with the Jazz, not counting the 2015-16 season he missed because of injuries.
