“The international sports and entertainment company NSN (Never Say Never) and Stoneweg, a global investment platform based in Geneva Switzerland, have entered into a joint venture in professional road cycling to take over the WorldTour and Development team structure ahead of the 2026 season,” according to a press release.<\/p>\n

The team will be registered in Switzerland, with its operations based in Barcelona and Girona, Spain. One of NSN\u2019s co-founders is former FC Barcelona star and Spanish international Andr\u00e9s Iniesta.<\/p>\n

NSN Cycling Team replaces Israel Premier Tech, whose presence in the professional peloton has been repeatedly challenged by pro-Palestinian protests this season\u2014most notably during the Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a<\/a>\u2014amid the war in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Canadian co-title sponsor Premier Tech withdrew its support with immediate effect, calling continued sponsorship \u201cuntenable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough we took notice of the team\u2019s decision to change its name for the 2026 season, the core reason for Premier Tech to sponsor the team has been overshadowed to a point where it has become untenable for us to continue as a sponsor,\u201d the company said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud to welcome NSN and Stoneweg to the team and announce our new name and identity: NSN Cycling Team,\u201d said team general manager Kjell Carlstr\u00f6m, according to the statement. “This is an incredibly exciting new chapter for the team, and we can\u2019t wait to make our debut as NSN Cycling Team.”<\/p>\n
