Charles Leclerc has been called before the stewards at the Las Vegas Grand Prix for allegedly not replacing his steering wheel or turning off ERS after coming to a halt on track during FP2.<\/p>\n
The Ferrari driver suffered a gearbox issue soon after the second practice session in Sin City was resumed, following a red flag for a loose manhole cover.<\/p>\n
With his SF-25 immediately unable to get up to speed, the eight-time grand prix winner pulled to one side and behind barriers.<\/p>\n
There was a second, subsequent and unrelated red flag, which was due to the continuance of the manhole cover issue.<\/p>\n
However, it did mean that Leclerc did not miss any vital track action in the closing stages of the second hour of running in Nevada.<\/p>\n
The official stewards document confirmed and: “Alleged breach of Article 26.5 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations \u2013 driver did not replace the steering wheel and turn off the ERS”.<\/p>\n
After topping FP1, the Monegasque driver was ultimately third-fastest in FP2.<\/p>\n
