Departed Penrith Panthers<\/a> back-rower Harrison Hassett<\/a> has officially confirmed his future and signed with a new club after catching the interest of multiple rivals.<\/p>\n One of 13 players farewelled by the Panthers at the end of the 2025 NRL<\/a> season, Hassett has decided to sign with the Cronulla Sharks<\/a> after attracting the interest of the Brisbane Broncos<\/a>, Dolphins<\/a> and Wests Tigers<\/a> over the past 18 months.<\/p>\n A former Australian Schoolboys representative and ex-SG Ball Cup Player of the Year, Hassett was in the Panthers’ pathways system for a number of years but failed to break through and cement a regular spot in the first-grade line-up.<\/p>\n However, he did manage to make his NRL<\/a> debut earlier in the year and showed glimpses of his potential during several matches in the NSW Cup<\/a> competition.<\/p>\n OFFICIAL: The Cronulla Sharks have signed Harrison Hassett from the Panthers. pic.twitter.com\/BDkNAhU06z<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Ethan Lee Chalk (@EthanLeeChalk) November 21, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n The move to Cronulla sees him reunite with former junior teammates Liam Ison<\/a> and Riley Pollard<\/a> and will allow him to learn off the likes of Briton Nikora<\/a> and Teig Wilton<\/a> as he furthers his development.<\/p>\n
