Two surprise omissions from the AFL National Draft have been selected on to AFL lists via the Rookie Draft.<\/p>\n
West Coast<\/a> selected powerful West Australian midfielder Fred Rodriguez at no.1 in the Rookie Draft – with the teenager tipped to be top 10 in the main draft earlier this year.<\/p>\n While another slider, Ollie Greaves, found his way to Hawthorn<\/a> – the club that tried to get him part of their NGA program.<\/p>\n Four other draftees found their way on to AFL lists via the Rookie Draft including Riley Onley (Melbourne<\/a>), Jack Watkins (Port Adelaide<\/a>), Leon Kickett (Fremantle) and Nick Driscoll (Geelong<\/a>).<\/p>\n The only pick in the AFL Pre-Season Draft saw uncontracted Brisbane premiership player Callum Ah Chee join Adelaide, after a move fell through during AFL Trade Period.<\/p>\n Nine players were re-listed by their AFL clubs as rookies, including Sydney<\/a> duo Jake Lloyd and Dane Rampe, while Brisbane’s Lincoln McCarthy was also brought back to the Lions<\/a> list.<\/p>\n MORE:\u00a0AFL Draft 2025: Complete first round – Every pick from every club<\/a><\/p>\n Pre-Season Draft<\/p>\n 1.
