Bills wideout Keon Coleman and team minority owner Tracy McGrady had an animated conversation on the field ahead of Buffalo\u2019s road loss to the Texans<\/a> on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Coleman, who was benched for a second straight game<\/a> after previously being late to a team meeting, and the NBA Hall of Famer reportedly spoke for several minutes pregame.<\/p>\n

Although it\u2019s unclear what exactly was said, McGrady appeared to be explaining something important, as seen in a video.<\/p>\n

McGrady is part of a Bill minority ownership group including fellow NBA Hall of Famer Vince Carter and former USA soccer striker Jozy Altidore.<\/p>\n

Coleman, the Bills\u2019 No. 33 overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft, did not dress for Buffalo\u2019s 44-32 win over the Buccaneers last week after he was late to a team meeting.<\/p>\n

The sophomore receiver was a healthy scratch for Thursday\u2019s clash at NFG Stadium, where the Texans defense overpowered Buffalo in a 23-19 win.<\/p>\n

Bills quarterback Josh Allen was sacked eight times.<\/p>\n

Thursday\u2019s benching marked the fourth time he\u2019s been disciplined by the team in his two-year career.<\/p>\n

He was benched for a series in Week 5 against the Patriots, and missed the first quarter of a game against the Jaguars in his rookie year, according to ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Coleman\u2019s production has also dipped after he tallied eight catches for 112 yards and a touchdown in Week 1\u2019s wild comeback win over the Ravens.<\/p>\n

He has just 32 catches for 330 yards and three touchdowns on the season.<\/p>\n

Bills coach Sean McDermott previously said it was his decision to bench Coleman.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is disappointing, but I still believe in the young man,\u201d McDermott said. \u201cI try and give the guys a kind of a strike approach, \u2018Hey, you get a chance to show your teammates that\u2019s not really who you are.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it happens again, then I step in. I believe he will learn from it. He takes it seriously. He will move forward in a way of growing from this, and that\u2019s the whole goal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coleman took responsibility and said he and his coach were \u201con the same page\u201d about the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoing what I\u2019m supposed to do, doing the right things, being where I\u2019m supposed to be \u2026 You can\u2019t make those types of mistakes,\u201d Coleman said. \u201cYou\u2019re a professional.\u201d<\/p>\n
