ORLANDO — New York Knicks<\/a> guard Landry Shamet<\/a> was ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Orlando Magic<\/a> because of a right shoulder injury Saturday.<\/p>\n

While guarding Jalen Suggs<\/a> at midcourt, Shamet ran into a screen set by Wendell Carter Jr<\/a>. Shamet was in immediate pain and went to the locker room while favoring his right arm with 9:17 remaining in the first quarter.<\/p>\n

Shamet was ruled out early in the second quarter against Orlando.<\/p>\n

Shamet, whodislocated his right shoulder during the preseason in October 2024, was coming off his best five-game stretch for the Knicks this season. He had four straight games of scoring in double figures, including a 36-point effort in a 140-132 win over Miami before snapping that streak with nine points in 23 minutes in a win over Dallas last Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Shamet, though, hit a pair of 3s in the final 1:02 and drew a critical charging foul in the final second to help the Knicks outlast the Mavericks.<\/p>\n

The Knicks also said Miles McBride<\/a> was questionable for the game because of illness.br\/]<\/p>\n
