<\/p>\n NASHVILLE\u00a0\u2014 The Tennessee State women’s basketball team received a 16-point effort from Aaniya Webb<\/a> and 18 points from its bench, but the Lady Tigers fell 99\u201343 to unbeaten Vanderbilt on Sunday afternoon inside Memorial Gymnasium.<\/p>\n Webb paced TSU (1\u20135) with 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting, including a perfect 5-for-6 at the line, while adding three rebounds. Erin Martin<\/a> delivered one of her strongest outings of the season, finishing with eight points, a team-high five rebounds, and two steals across 28 minutes. Genesis Harris<\/a> contributed five points and a steal, while\u00a0Zoe Young<\/a> added two points and two steals off the bench.<\/p>\n TSU battled on the offensive glass throughout the afternoon, pulling down 10 offensive boards that led to 12 second-chance points. Defensively, the Lady Tigers forced 15 Vanderbilt turnovers, converting those into nine points.<\/p>\n How It Happened<\/p>\n Vanderbilt (6\u20130) struck quickly, using a string of fastbreak layups and early TSU turnovers to open on a 15\u20133 run. The Commodores scored 14 points off turnovers in the first quarter alone and shot 61 percent in the frame to take a 31\u20136 lead after 10 minutes.<\/p>\n
