I had so much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Best picks for you<\/p>\n<p>The 48km and 35 lap men&#8217;s criterium, last year won by Poga\u010dar, was contested by 35 riders on Sunday and was slotted in among a schedule that also included a Pro-Am Charity race \u2013 where 15 teams made up of professionals, ambassadors and amateurs battled it out earlier in the day on the same criterium course \u2013 and also two kids rides. The women&#8217;s pro-criterium was a new addition for the fifth running of the event this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">Wiebes took a dominant win in the 20 lap, 27km pro criterium ahead of Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto) in second and Anna Trevisi (Liv-AlUla-Jayco) in third.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I really enjoyed Beking,\u201d says winner Lorena Wiebes. \u2018In the Netherlands, criteriums are very popular from the junior categories, so it felt great to take part in such an event in a city like Monaco. It\u2019s truly special to race here. The race was full of action \u2014 I think it was exciting to watch.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On the uphill section after the finish line, I attacked and managed to create the decisive gap. It worked out well \u2014 I\u2019m very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"newsletter-form__strapline\">The latest race content, interviews, features, reviews and expert buying guides, direct to your inbox!<\/p>\n<p>The event also concluded with a charity auction with items on offer including Tour de France points winner Milan\u2019s bike and green jersey, Lotte Kopecky\u2019s 2024 World Championship winning bike, a number of Poga\u010dar\u2019s key jerseys \u2013 including yellow, rainbow and European champion jerseys \u2013 plus Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot\u2019s Tour de France Femmes leader&#8217;s jersey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to have taken part in the event.
