{"id":305383,"date":"2025-11-24T10:32:19","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T10:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/305383\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T10:32:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T10:32:19","slug":"porsche-michelin-sprint-challenge-champion-jake-santalucia-gets-porsche-paynter-dixon-carrera-cup-promotion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/305383\/","title":{"rendered":"Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge champion Jake Santalucia gets Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup promotion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/jake-santalucia_1-copy.jpg\" alt=\"Sprint Challenge champion gets Porsche promotion\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJake Santalucia&#8217;s Porsche that he will race with Sonic at Adelaide.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh off winning the second-division Porsche title with Sonic Motor Racing Services, Santalucia has been drafted into the team\u2019s top division.<\/p>\n<p>At just 18 years old, Santalucia is the second-youngest Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge \u2013 just seven days behind the youngest-ever, Jordan Love.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven before I started karting, it\u2019s been a goal of mine to race in Carrera Cup,\u201d said Santalucia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember watching the morning support classes at Bathurst on TV and I always looked out for the yellow Bob Jane T-Marts Porsches.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it\u2019s pretty cool that I\u2019ll be able to tick this box with Sonic in Adelaide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, Santalucia will not go into the season finale completely blind, having tested the 992 model Porsche 911 GT3 Cup at Winton.<\/p>\n<p>It will, however, be his first time racing on the streets of Adelaide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never driven on the Adelaide circuit before,\u201d said Santalucia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve raced on the streets of Townsville, and I realise it\u2019s not the same, but at least having the experience of Townsville in the last two seasons puts me in good stead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did my first test at Winton this week and I got up to speed pretty quickly. The cars aren\u2019t that much different and I felt comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve moved on pretty quickly from winning the title.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would have liked to celebrate it a bit more, but I also want to keep on track and improve myself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe might have a nice party after Adelaide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sonic will field four entries on the streets of Adelaide, headlined by Angelo Mouzouris and Marcos Flack alongside Pro-Am points leader Rodney Jane.<\/p>\n<p>  <a data-bid=\"1\" data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/289522\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" alt=\"\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1763784376_117_289522.png\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jake Santalucia&#8217;s Porsche that he will race with Sonic at Adelaide.
