His role as football tactics writer includes\u00a0\u201ca lot of watching football,\u00a0often live games, rewatching matches, clips on\u00a0Wyscout, and sifting through data too.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, Liam attends press conferences and takes part in podcasts,\u00a0as well as pitching ideas of pieces for publication to the editors and then subsequently writing\u00a0them.<\/p>\n
When asked what the best thing about working in football was, he simply said:\u00a0\u201cGetting paid to attend live games.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith a coaching background,\u00a0it\u2019s never lost on me how amazing it is to hear Premier League coaches speak and have the chance to ask questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve\u00a0managed to interview a few players\u00a0and\u00a0athletes who I\u2019m a big fan of,\u00a0too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking about his time studying at UCFB, he said:\u00a0\u201cUCFB was the foundations for my career.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u00a0wasn\u2019t just what I learned in the lectures and seminars or did on my assignments, but how I built relationships with lecturers and my\u00a0coursemates, matured as a person and learned to work with a variety of different people in different scenarios.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe three years definitely improved my confidence, gave me a more rounded and\u00a0real-worldview, and I met some great people along the way, and was encouraged to take risks.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added:\u00a0\u201cThe lecturers\u00a0went above and beyond to find innovative ways to teach, get us access to coaching courses, put on guest lectures from top-level coaches and analysts, and made our assignments\u00a0really applied\u00a0and real-world.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cLockdown came during year two and they responded phenomenally.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving small-ish\u00a0classes helped, as I had friends from secondary school who waited months to have their lecturer learn their name, while we had closer relationships with ours and they were able to tailor their support and feedback.\u201d<\/p>\n
