Combatants dress up in clunky suits of armor \u2014 which include shields and swords \u2014 then go for broke while a \u201cmarshal\u201d (referee) keeps them honest with the yellow flag of justice.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Call it the Middling Ages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Here\u2019s a clip from the promotion\u2019s \u201cMusic City\u201d fight card earlier this month at Nashville Municipal Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Watching this fight makes me wonder how anyone died during medieval combat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Armored MMA pro fights consist of three, two-minute rounds, with two-minute rest periods. Fighters must compete in the same weight class (consisting of strawweight through titanweight) and have matching weapon sets.
