{"id":306425,"date":"2025-11-24T22:10:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T22:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/306425\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T22:10:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T22:10:09","slug":"jake-dixon-cant-wait-to-hear-jonathan-reas-honda-worldsbk-comments-im-intrigued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/306425\/","title":{"rendered":"Jake Dixon \u201ccan&#8217;t wait\u201d to hear Jonathan Rea\u2019s Honda WorldSBK comments: &#8220;I&#8217;m intrigued&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jake Dixon will benefit from the support of Honda\u2019s new superstar test rider Jonathan Rea as he makes the switch from Moto2 to WorldSBK for 2026.<\/p>\n<p>After calling time on his record-breaking career, the six-time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WorldSBK<\/a> champion is stepping directly into a development role for the Honda Fireblade.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/1555\/jonathan-rea\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rea<\/a> previously spent six seasons with Honda before joining Kawasaki and delivering an historic title run from 2015 to 2020. His team-mate will be Somkiat Chantra, who also moves across from grand prix racing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you know what &#8211; this is the commitment that Honda&#8217;s making, going out to poach people like Johnny, who obviously has so much experience,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1044145\/jake-dixon\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dixon<\/a> said of working alongside Rea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI talk to him quite a lot anyway. I respect him a lot and I can&#8217;t wait to hear what his comments are. Also, because he has come from Kawasaki, then to Yamaha, now to Honda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo with his vast experience and all of his knowledge, I&#8217;m intrigued to hear what he says about the bike. Hopefully he leads us in a good direction, going into more \u201827 than anything.
