If ever a station could lay claim to being the \u2018the little engine that could,\u2019 it is Brisbane\u2019s 4BH.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s now over three years since 4BH repositioned itself<\/a> as the city\u2019s new home of Classic Hits, giving disenchanted listeners a new place to find their favourite music following the demise of 4KQ.<\/p>\n

It was an astute decision, and one for which the ACE Radio Network continues to reap the rewards.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s GfK Survey 7<\/a> saw 4BH beat SCA heavy hitters B105 for the very first time.<\/p>\n

4BH is now #3 among all people 10+ in Brisbane and Bob Gallagher \u2013 aka BBQ Bob \u2013 is crushing it in Breakfast, rising 1.2 to now hold a 10.8 share.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re happy in Brisbane,\u201d ACE Radio\u2019s Head of Metro Content John Vertigan (pictured above) tells Radio Today.<\/p>\n

\u201cBBQ Bob had a really good lift in Breakfast. There\u2019s just a really good vibe about Classic Hits in Brisbane. We\u2019ve got that More Music position and news 24 hours a day, on the hour, as well. So a good tick for us in Brisvegas today!\u201d<\/p>\n

Sydney\u2019s 2UE also posted some pleasing results.<\/p>\n

\u201cShare, cume, TSL all up again,\u201d says Vertigan. \u201cA new high weekly cume of 323,000. That\u2019s the highest it\u2019s been under ACE Radio control.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Melbourne, 3MP and Magic both went down, with the 55 to 64 target demographic taking a hit.<\/p>\n

Remaining philosophical, Vertigan says \u201cWe will continue our work in Melbourne.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re happy our overall cume is still growing over three cities \u2013 now almost a million people.
