The much-loved father of 90 Day Fianc\u00e9<\/a> \ufeffstar Elizabeth Castravet has died aged 64.<\/p>\n

Castravet \ufeffannounced the death of fan-favourite Chuck Potthast in an Instagram post,<\/a> saying it has left the family “completely shattered.”<\/p>\n

“My sweet, loving, and caring dad went to heaven. We’re trying to figure out how to navigate our lives and move forward without him<\/a>,” she wrote.<\/p>\n

Potthast was a regular fixture<\/a> on the show, which chronicled his daughter’s engagement<\/a> to now-husband Andrei Castravet.<\/p>\n

90 Day Fianc\u00e9 follows four individuals, each granted 90-day visas to move in with their new fianc\u00e9s<\/a> for the first time.<\/p>\n

After the 90-day period is up, each pair is faced with the decision of whether or not to officially tie the knot.<\/p>\n

Potthast had previously referenced his health struggles on 90 Day Fianc\u00e9 follow-up series 90 Day Fianc\u00e9: Happily Ever After?, after it was revealed Elizabeth was estranged<\/a> from her sister, Becky.<\/p>\n

He told Elizabeth “the Lord didn’t save my life to see my family fractured like this.”<\/p>\n

Becky, who had also featured on the TLC reality show, shared her own heartbreaking tribute to the pair’s late father on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n

The star expressed her immense grief<\/a> over the loss of Potthast, saying her world had become “distorted into a place I don’t understand.”<\/p>\n

“My father Chuck went home to be with The Lord. The pain is still more than I can bare so this is all I can write,”\ufeff she finished.<\/p>\n

Potthast announced in 2022<\/a> that he was cancer-free, following major surgery in 2017.<\/p>\n

But his health<\/a> sadly declined again in 2024, when the reality star revealed he’d developed hernias related to several other cancer-related operations.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The family was then dealt another blow, with news that Potthast had been diagnosed with glioblastoma \u2013 an invasive form of brain cancer.<\/p>\n

The reality star was a memorable reoccurring presence on the show, often seen attempting to keep the peace between his warring children.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth’s then-fianc\u00e9 Andrei faced intense scrutiny from her family due to past visa violations, with Potthast in particular expressing doubt about Andrei’s intentions.<\/p>\n

However, the pair went on to wed in 2017 \u2013 \ufeffand have since welcomed daughter Eleanor in 2019, and son Winston in 2022.<\/p>\n
