{"id":307940,"date":"2025-11-25T15:16:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T15:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/307940\/"},"modified":"2025-11-25T15:16:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T15:16:10","slug":"pedro-acosta-on-watching-new-motogp-winners-emerge-it-is-what-it-is","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/307940\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedro Acosta on watching new MotoGP winners emerge: \u201cIt is what it is\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two young Spanish riders, Fermin Aldeguer and Raul Fernandez, became MotoGP race winners for the first time in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, countryman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1040772\/pedro-acosta\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pedro Acosta\u2019s <\/a>quest for a premier-class win will go into a third season.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/red-bull-ktm-factory-racing\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Red Bull KTM<\/a> rider admitted that frustration tainted his early-season results, before regrouping and becoming a consistent podium challenger from Brno onwards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is what it is,\u201d Acosta, a former Moto3 and Moto2 world champion, said of other riders taking their first wins before him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end, I want to be [winning] also. I think I&#8217;m riding\u2026 in my best moment. I&#8217;m not making stupid mistakes. I&#8217;m not losing focus. But in the box, we know what is [still] missing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gresini Ducati rookie Aldeguer took his first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP <\/a>victory ahead of Acosta at Mandalika, with Trackhouse Aprilia&#8217;s Fernandez standing on the top step of the podium at Phillip Island.<\/p>\n<p>As well as Indonesia, Acosta was a Sunday runner-up in Hungary and Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>However, he came closest to taking the chequered flag first in the penultimate Portimao Sprint race, where he lost out by just 0.120s to Alex Marquez.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need something that will give us a bit more performance. We know that Ducati is still at the top,\u201d Acosta continued.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know Aprilia is now the second manufacturer in the championship and we know that Honda is pushing a lot to come back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow the [KTM] factory has to make a push. We are not missing that much, but\u2026 Now it&#8217;s my moment to be precise about everything I need to be fast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m gaining more experience than in any other moment of my life.
