Kate Beckinsale may have just shared the craziest story on a late night talk show ever.<\/p>\n
The actress was a guest on \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d Monday night, where she claimed her daughter\u2019s boyfriend laid two eggs.<\/p>\n
What?<\/p>\n
Beckinsale was explaining that her family had a hard time recently with the death of both of her parents and the \u201conly bright spot\u201d came from him.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe laid two eggs in a week is what the bright spot was,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Kimmel tried to clarify, asking if it was a British phrase or something else, but Beckinsale said it was something he told her.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said, \u2018I\u2019ve laid an egg.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018OK, you\u2019re trying to pull focus off the cancer.\u2019 But it had a shell and a yolk.\u201d<\/p>\n
As all of us would, Kimmel replied, \u201cHold on a second. An egg came out of his body?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYes,\u201d Beckinsale insisted, adding, \u201cNot out of his mouth or ears, it came out the route that it would come out of a hen. Well, not his vagina. He went to the bathroom and was very surprised to find that he had laid an egg.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bizarre as the incident was, Beckinsale actually welcomed the distraction from her grief.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first time it happened, he was genuinely scared, and he was like, \u2018It\u2019s got a full shell, it\u2019s got a yolk, it\u2019s the size of a bird,\u2019\u201d she said confirming that he crushed it to see what was inside, saying it was \u201chard boiled\u201d and it was \u201clike it cooked inside him.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cUnderworld\u201d star thought at first the boyfriend had \u201cembellished\u201d the story and sort of brushed it off until her daughter texted her that the boyfriend had done it again on a flight to New York.<\/p>\n
Kimmel asked if she really believed what he was saying, to which she said, \u201cI did because he was so scared!\u201d<\/p>\n
She did ask if it was some kind of \u201cattention-seeking\u201d behavior and was, perhaps, inserting the eggs himself.<\/p>\n
To prove her claim, Beckinsale showed only Kimmel and his sidekick Guillermo the photo from the flight, describing it was too \u201cmedical\u201d to show the audience.<\/p>\n
Based on Kimmel\u2019s astounded reaction and \u201cWhat in the world?\u201d it seems her daughter\u2019s boyfriend is really some kind of medical marvel.<\/p>\n
Beckinsale did reach out to doctors, who claimed it was a sexual activity thing, but she insists it wasn\u2019t, and he wasn\u2019t on any kind of sleep medication that would prompt him to eat strangely, and he hadn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
