Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHeartbroken to share that Joan, my wife and partner for 50 years, has passed away,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was the most wonderful mum<\/a> and grandmum our kids and grandkids could have ever wished for.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world.<\/p>\n \u201cLove you forever, Joan.\u201d<\/p>\n Branson, aged 75, did not give a cause for her death.<\/p>\n Joan was recently photographed celebrating her birthday with her family in Morocco and at a \u201870s themed party wearing a shining silver sequined jumpsuit.<\/p>\n Last month, Joan was also photographed attending the Ivors Academy Honours with her husband and children.<\/p>\n The couple married at their home on Necker island in the Caribbean and had three children, Holly and Sam, as well as a baby girl named Clare Sarah, who died four days after she was born.<\/p>\n Joan\u2019s son Sam posted his own emotional tribute to his mum, calling her the \u201ckindest\u201d woman on earth.<\/p>\n \u201cMum, you instantly made everyone in your presence feel like all was well with the world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cYou were the kindest, most loving, warm and abundantly generous woman to walk this Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n Sam thanked his mother for \u201ceverything\u201d she was to his family and everyone \u201cwho was blessed by your graceful, loving presence\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWords cannot express how much I will miss you and how I wish you were still here to console me about the loss of you.
