If, like the rest of the world, you\u2019ve found yourself obsessed with the Fourth Wing book series, you\u2019ll be familiar with its author, Rebecca Yarros. Beyond her Empyrean series, Yarros has a string of non-fantasy contemporary novels that, as far as fan reviews suggest, will probably rip your heart out.<\/p>\n

Among that list is her book, The Things We Leave Unfinished, which is officially being adapted for film.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the third work from Yarros\u2019 library to be getting the adaptation treatment, the first famously being the Fourth Wing TV series<\/a> followed by the upcoming Netflix film, In The Likely Event.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Per Deadline<\/a>, Arash Amel is set adapting the script while Todd Lieberman will produce through his company Hidden Pictures.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What Is The Plot Of The Things We Leave Unfinished?<\/p>\n

The Things We Leave Unfinished follows 28-year-old Georgia Stanton who returns home to Colorado after a messy divorce to find herself finishing her grandmother\u2019s final novel.<\/p>\n

According to the synopsis, we may have a delicious enemies-to-lovers trope, too.<\/p>\n

It reads: \u201cShe finds herself face-to-face with Noah Harrison, the bestselling author of a million books where the cover is always people nearly kissing.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just as arrogant in person as in interviews, and she\u2019ll be damned if the good-looking writer of love stories thinks he\u2019s the one to finish her grandmother\u2019s final novel\u2026even if the publisher swears he\u2019s the perfect fit.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, it wouldn\u2019t be a Rebecca Yarros book with some twists. Noah and Georgia discover letters from her grandmother correlate with her unfinished novel, revealing just why the novel found an end.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When Will The Things We Leave Unfinished Be Released?<\/p>\n

With the deal only freshly inked and production yet to begin there will be sometime before we have any confirmation on casting let alone a release date for the adaptation. Check back here for updates as they drop.\u00a0<\/p>\n
