Green will play Aunt Ophelia, Morticia Addams\u2019 (Catherine Zeta-Jones) sister, in the new run. <\/p>\n<p>SPOILER AHEAD FOR SEASON 2<\/p>\n<p>The character was seen only from behind in the second season, imprisoned in a cell with the words \u2018Wednesday must die\u2019 written on the wall. In the series lore, the character has been missing for two decades \u2013 only to be revealed to have been imprisoned by her mother Hester (Joanna Lumley)<\/p>\n<p>END SPOILER<\/p>\n<p>Series showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar say in a statement: \u201cEva Green has always brought an exhilarating, singular presence to the screen \u2014 elegant, haunting and beautifully unpredictable. Those qualities make her the perfect choice for Aunt Ophelia.
