{"id":309827,"date":"2025-11-26T11:34:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T11:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/309827\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T11:34:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T11:34:09","slug":"steadfast-makes-coo-role-redundant-insurance-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/309827\/","title":{"rendered":"Steadfast makes COO role redundant &#8211; Insurance News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Noelene Palmer is no longer Steadfast COO after the role was made redundant, insuranceNEWS.com.au can confirm.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Palmer joined the listed insurance group in July last year as EGM operations and was promoted to COO from July 1 this year, following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancenews.com.au\/corporate\/steadfast-considers-ceo-succession-as-fitzgerald-steps-down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">departure of predecessor Nigel Fitzgerald<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She has worked in financial services for almost 25 years in Australia, London and Hong Kong, and held senior leadership roles at organisations including IAG, TAL, Swiss Re and KPMG.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Steadfast she was COO for the financial crime and fraud prevention team at Westpac.\u202f<\/p>\n<p>This week, Ms Palmer\u2019s picture and biography disappeared from Steadfast\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steadfast.com.au\/about-us\/board-and-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">web page<\/a> listing members of the board and executive team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of the expense management initiatives announced at the AGM in October 2025, Steadfast has undertaken a review of its operating model to ensure the sustainable future of the organisation,\u201d a spokesperson told insuranceNEWS.com.au.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of the changes, the COO role was made redundant effective November 2025 and Steadfast will not be replacing the role.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Noelene Palmer is no longer Steadfast COO after the role was made redundant, insuranceNEWS.com.au can confirm.
