The West Coast Eagles showed their support for the 16 Days in WA campaign on Wednesday, donning orange socks to raise awareness and encourage change surrounding family and domestic violence.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s 16 Days in WA campaign officially kicked off on Tuesday, November 25, with the 2025 theme of Stopping Family and Domestic Violence: Play Your Part.<\/p>\n
This important cause gives individuals and communities the opportunity to show their support for ending violence against women, including family, domestic and sexual violence. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Eagles defender Tom Cole and AFLW co-captain Bella Lewis are the club\u2019s 16 Days in WA Agents of Change, encouraging those around them, on and off the field, to play a part in stopping family and domestic violence.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m proud to be an ambassador for the 16 Days in WA campaign,\u201d Cole said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis campaign promotes gender equality to help prevent violence against women, an issue that is prevalent in society, and in WA in particular.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday we wore orange socks at training in support of the campaign, and although that won\u2019t prevent the issue, it starts the conversations and creates awareness around family and domestic abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n
