After leading the crowd through a chant, Posdnuos rapped his way through \u201cRun It Back!!,\u201d while Maseo oversaw the production boards. A horn section then walked onstage to segue into \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/de-la-soul-announce-new-album-cabin-in-the-sky-share-new-song-the-package-listen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Package<\/a>,\u201d with De La Soul and the instrumentalists moving side to side in tandem. They also gestured to the side screen at one point to let <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/de-la-soul-mc-trugoy-the-dove-dies-at-54\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the late Trugoy<\/a>\u2019s verse play on its own. Watch a replay of the performance below.<\/p>\n<p>Cabin in the Sky <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/10-new-albums-you-should-listen-to-now-oneohtrix-point-never-tobias-jesso-jr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">came out last<\/a> week, making it the rap group\u2019s first new album in nine years, following 2016\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/22353-and-the-anonymous-nobody\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">And the Anonymous Nobody&#8230;<\/a>, and their first since <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/de-la-soul-mc-trugoy-the-dove-dies-at-54\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the 2023 death<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/artists\/trugoy-the-dove\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">David Jude \u201cTrugoy\u201d Jolicoeur<\/a>. \u201cCabin in the Sky lives in that space between loss and light,\u201d Posdnuos said in a press release. \u201cIt\u2019s about the pain we carry and the joy that somehow still finds us.
