The Triple Eight Race Engineering driver suffered a steering failure entering Turn 13, which spat him into an adjacent concrete wall, unprotected by tyres.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Fox Sports broadcast, Walls said he was \u201cprobably pulling out\u201d of the weekend. Speedcafe has since confirmed Walls\u2019 withdrawal.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a cruel end to Walls\u2019 maiden Super2 Series campaign, having been the top rookie and best-placed Holden driver in fifth overall.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomething failed in the front end of the car going into Turn 13 and I was pretty much a passenger from the turn-in point,\u201d said Walls on the Fox Sports broadcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cPretty unfortunate. We\u2019re probably pulling out for the rest of the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuper disappointing to end the weekend like this, but I\u2019ll be supporting [Ben Gomersall] and hopefully he secures the rookie championship.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll fine on my end,\u201d he said of his health. \u201cIt\u2019s just upsetting really.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an unceremonious end to Walls\u2019 maiden Super2 Series campaign.<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll join the Repco Supercars Championship with Triple Eight Race Engineering in 2026 driving a SCT Logistics-backed Ford Mustang.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs long as I have a bit of good luck, I\u2019ll be pretty happy,\u201d said Walls of next season.<\/p>\n
