Athletes can help their national team rise from regional competitions to SVNS 1 within one year.<\/p>\n<p>There are more high-stakes games than ever before, with SVNS set to deliver 13 events across 12 countries in all six World Rugby regions this season. The first division gets underway this weekend in Dubai, before the circuit heads to Cape Town on December 6-7.<\/p>\n<p>Singapore, Perth and Vancouver are other three regular season destinations, along with the addition of New York, which was confirmed last week. These events will feature the top eight sides in women\u2019s and men\u2019s sevens, setting the stage for the new-look World Championships.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/SVNS_SCHEDULE_16x9-2026.png.webp\"  class=\"lazy\" alt=\"SVNS Series\" width=\"766\" height=\"430\"\/>New York will host the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/usa\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">USA<\/a> leg of the HSBC SVNS Series in March 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/south-africa\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">South Africa<\/a> were last season\u2019s men\u2019s champions, and they\u2019ll be joined by Argentina, Australia, Fiji, France, Great Britain, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/new-zealand\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Zealand<\/a> and Spain. New Zealand are looking to defend their women\u2019s title against Australia, Canada, Fiji, France, Great Britain, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/japan\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Japan<\/a> and the USA.<\/p>\n<p>These teams will all progress through to the World Championships, along with the four best women\u2019s and men\u2019s teams from SVNS 2. The Championship series begins at the Cathay\/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, before a European double-header in Valladolid and Bordeaux.<\/p>\n<p>World Rugby has revealed the SVNS 2 event destinations are Nairobi in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/kenya\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kenya<\/a> on February 14-15, Montevideo in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/uruguay\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Uruguay<\/a> on March 21-22, and Sao Paulo in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/brazil\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brazil<\/a> on March 28-29.<\/p>\n<p>Four women\u2019s and four men\u2019s teams have already qualified, with another two places to be determined in SVNS 3. China, Kenya, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/spain\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spain<\/a> and Brazil are the women\u2019s teams, while Kenya, USA, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/germany\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Germany<\/a> and Uruguay have booked their place in the men\u2019s competition.<\/p>\n<p>The third division consists of just one tournament, which will take place in Dubai on January 17-18, 2026. Everything will be on the line across this two-day event, as regional competition champions look to punch their ticket to SVNS 2.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina, Colombia, Czechia, Mexico, Poland, Samoa, South Africa and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/thailand\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thailand<\/a> are the women\u2019s teams in SVNS 3. As for the men, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/belgium\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Belgium<\/a> are in a group that includes Canada, Colombia, Hong Kong China, Italy, Madagascar, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/samoa\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Samoa<\/a> and Tonga.<\/p>\n<p>HSBC SVNS 2026 marks a bold new era for the sport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re entering an exciting new era for sevens as we kick off the journey to LA 2028,\u201d World Rugby Chief Executive Alan Gilpin said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith all fixtures locked in across all three levels of HSBC SVNS, it\u2019s really all to play for.
