Last October, nine months before a source confirmed that the costars of The Naked Gun<\/a> are \u201cin the early stages\u201d of dating, the Oscar-nominated actor got candid about putting the brakes on his love life in a cover story with PEOPLE.<\/p>\n Asked if he dates, Neeson responded, \u201cNo, in a word. I\u2019m past all that.\u201d The 73-year-old was married to The Parent Trap actress Natasha Richardson<\/a> from 1994 until her death at age 45 in 2009. More than a year after Richardson died, Neeson began dating U.K.\u2013based public relations executive Freya St. Johnston. While appearing on the Today show on Tuesday, July 29, Neeson and Anderson pretended to get caught making out when the camera panned to them. A week earlier, she kissed him on the cheek during the movie\u2019s London premiere.<\/p>\n Neeson, who dated Barbra Streisand<\/a>, Brooke Shields<\/a> and Helen Mirren<\/a> before marrying Richardson, gushed about Anderson in his 2024 PEOPLE cover story. \u201cWith Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n Anderson returned the compliments, calling Neeson \u201cthe perfect gentleman.\u201d She continued, \u201cHe brings out the best in you\u2026 with respect, kindness and depth of experience.
