As part of the next phase, we\u2019re reorganising our Audience &amp; Content function to separate our core content teams from the support teams, allowing us to focus more clearly on creating and delivering great content. This restructure includes the role of Chief Content Officer, who will have sole responsibility for content creation and distribution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result of these changes, Joyce will leave ARN at the end of 2025. Lauren is an incredible strategist and respected leader who has made a significant contribution to ARN over the past seven years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has played a pivotal role in strengthening the connection between Content and Commercial, elevating our marketing and communications capability, and helping shape ARN into the market-leading business it is today. We thank her for her leadership and the impact she has had across the organisation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-252490\" class=\"size-full wp-image-252490\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/2910-19.jpg\" alt=\"ARN COO Michael Stephenson\" width=\"800\" height=\"431\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-252490\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ARN COO Michael Stephenson<\/p>\n<p>Joyce also issued a full statement reflecting on her time at the company, saying: \u201cI\u2019ll always be grateful for the opportunities I\u2019ve had at ARN. It\u2019s been a privilege to work with such a talented team and contribute to a business I genuinely care about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross my roles here, every decision I\u2019ve made has been with our people, our brands, and our shareholders in mind. I hope I\u2019m remembered for championing ideas from everywhere and for always pushing for the best possible outcome \u2013 for all of us. I wish the team the very best in the future,\u201d Joyce said.<\/p>\n<p>Joyce was part of ARN\u2019s public response to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaweek.com.au\/acma-imposes-licence-conditions-on-arn-over-kyle-jackie-o\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Australian Communications and Media Authority\u2019s (ACMA) proposed new licence conditions<\/a> linked to The Kyle &amp; Jackie O Show and its $200 million talent deal with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie \u2018O\u2019 Henderson.<\/p>\n<p>Unless successfully challenged, the ACMA ruling would see any program involving the pair operate under tighter licence conditions for five years, including a requirement to comply with clause 2.2 of the Commercial Radio Code covering the respectful treatment of callers and on-air participants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaweek.com.au\/kyle-and-jackie-os-200m-question-when-does-the-payoff-arrive\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joyce told Mediaweek in a recent interview<\/a> that the proposed conditions had driven an intentional recalibration of the show\u2019s content. \u201cWe have pared back some of that more extreme content,\u201d she said, describing it as part of a broader tightening under intense scrutiny.<\/p>\n<p>On the ongoing investigation, she stayed on script: \u201cWe respect the regulator and the Commercial Radio Code of Practise and our responsibilities as a licence holder, and we will provide a formal response in due course as part of the process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pressed further, Joyce declined to elaborate. \u201cIt\u2019s not appropriate for us to discuss those details at this stage. We will continue to engage with ACMA on this and formalise a statement when appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-175564\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Kyle-Sandilands-and-Jackie-O.jpg\" alt=\"Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O\" width=\"800\" height=\"434\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Melbourne results and the $200 million question<\/p>\n<p>Joyce has also been central to ARN\u2019s positioning around the performance of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaweek.com.au\/job-cuts-digital-radio-and-no-rollout-arns-200m-kyle-jackie-o-gamble\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Melbourne extension of The Kyle &amp; Jackie O Show,<\/a> nearly two years after the high-profile talent deal was signed.<\/p>\n<p>However, as Mediaweek understands, Joyce was not instrumental in either the crafting or the signing of the deal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaweek.com.au\/kiis-slips-again-as-3aw-keeps-melbournes-top-spot\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">In Survey 7, Melbourne breakfast slipped from 6% to 5.5%,<\/a> with cume easing from 427,000 to 402,000.
