Seth Meyers <\/a>continued his long-standing tradition of having his family on Late Night<\/a>\u2019<\/a>s Thanksgiving episode by sitting down for a very adorable interview with his three children.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thursday\u2019s episode saw the 51-year-old host welcome multiple members of his family to the show, including mom Hillary, dad Larry, and brother Josh. However, the cutest moment by far was when his and wife Alexi Ashe’s three children \u2014 Ashe, 9, Axel, 7, and Adelaide, 4 \u2014 stopped by for a quick and chaotic chat.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cLast week, my kids came in to shoot their Christmas card photo. We shoot this little video where they dress up as turkeys every year and it\u2019s always special,\u201d the Emmy winner explained prior to the interview. \u201cBut this year I did not warn my kids at all and, last minute on their way out, we brought \u2018em down and we put mics on \u2018em and I had them come out in front of our audience and I interviewed them. And we\u2019re showing it for the first time now.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

After bringing them out, Seth asked his children all about their Christmas card photoshoot. \u201cAshe, what did you guys dress up like this year? It\u2019s always a themed photo,\u201d he noted, prompting his son to respond, \u201cWe were [characters from the movie] Elf.\u201d<\/p>\n

Everything quickly spun off the rails, however, when Adelaide declared, \u201cAnd I was an alphabet.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were Elphabet?” Seth questioned, before Ashe and Axel quickly clarified that their little sister wasn\u2019t dressed as the alphabet.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was, like, my girlfriend,\u201d Axel said, seemingly referencing to Buddy the Elf\u2019s girlfriend Josie, played by Zooey Deschanel in the 2003 film. \u201cRemember in the movie?\u201d<\/p>\n

Adelaide interjected, \u201cAnd Agnes was a tomato!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, okay. Gotcha. Your cousin Agnes was a tomato,\u201d Seth responded. \u201cThat\u2019s great.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

The host went on to ask his children how they arrived at 30 Rock that day, with Axel and Ashe confirming that they took a car. Adelaide, on the other hand, arrived later and explained that she took the subway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When asked if she liked it, she said, \u201cYeah, the subway smelled like diarrhea.\u201d A laughing Seth replied, \u201cThat\u2019s really good.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The dad of three went on to ask Ashe and Axel about a fight that occurred between them while they were watching last week\u2019s Pittsburgh Steelers game.\u00a0\u201cThere was one moment that was a happy moment for me that became sort of a sad moment, which is the Steelers intercepted the ball and I was watching \u2014 they ran it all the way back for a touchdown \u2014 and then it turned back and both of you were crying,\u201d Seth said. \u201cSo, Ashe, why don\u2019t you tell me what happened first?\u201d\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Ashe explained that Axel had hit him in the face with his Steelers rally towel \u201cso then I punched him here,\u201d putting his fist to his cheek.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then I,\u201d Axel began, jumping out of his seat before pretending to land blows on a laughing Ashe. Seth, a true parent, quickly shouted, \u201cNo, no, no!\u201d<\/p>\n

He then turned the interview toward Adelaide, asking which of her brothers was the sweetest (Ashe) and the roughest (Axel). \u201cBut, Addie, do you love your brothers?\u201d Seth asked.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI love this one,\u201d she said, hugging Ashe. Tapping Axel, she added, \u201cBut not that one!\u201d Axel, in response, mimed crying in his seat.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAxel, do you want to just dance for a second?\u201d Seth asked. \u201cYou feel like you want to dance for a second.\u201d<\/p>\n

Axel did, indeed, want to dance, rocketing out of his seat and sending his siblings and dad into a fit of laughter with his cool moves. Seth added, \u201cSometimes. You can just tell when Axel wants to dance, can\u2019t you?\u201d\n<\/p>\n

After one more dance break, Seth wrapped their interview by thanking his children for stopping by the show. \u201cIt was great to see you. Anything else you wanna say, Ashe?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs my time over?\u201d Axel interjected. Seth replied, \u201cIt\u2019s running out, yes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adelaide then surprised her dad by shouting \u201cno, no, no\u201d directly into the microphone, which naturally led her siblings to begin chanting along with her. They proceeded to collapse on the ground.\u00a0\u201cLadies and gentlemen, this has been the Meyers children,\u201d Seth said as Adelaide began to crawl across his desk. \u201cThank you so much! We\u2019ll be right back with more Late Night!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In a subsequent Instagram post<\/a>, Seth cleared the air surrounding a few of Adelaide\u2019s comments on the show, sharing an image of Agnes dressed as a red elf with a green collar visually similar to the calyx on a tomato.\u00a0And, in regards to Adelaide dressing up as \u201cElphabet,\u201d Seth included a photo of his daughter meeting Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba in the Wicked films.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cLest anyone think Addie was talking nonsense some of her most confusing answers made a ton of sense,” he captioned his post.\u00a0“Special shout out to @cynthiaerivo<\/a> for taking the time to talk to her right before her interview!\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
