Everton will not allow midfielder Tim Iroegbunam to leave the club in the January transfer window despite his struggles for minutes.<\/p>\n

That is according to ex-Everton chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to\u00a0Football Insider, who insists that the Merseyside club will not let the 22-year-old depart.<\/p>\n

Iroegbunam joined Everton from Aston Villa<\/a> in 2024 for \u00a39million, and has made 36 appearances for the Toffees.<\/p>\n

Amid a struggle to force his way into David Moyes\u2019 plans, Everton may accept an offer for Iroegbunam in January<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u2018No chance\u2019 Tim Iroegbunam leaves Everton<\/p>\n

Everton\u2019s former chief Keith Wyness<\/a> \u2013 who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs \u2013 believes the club will keep Iroegbunam in January amid Idrissa Gueye\u2019s situation.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider\u2018s Inside Track podcast<\/a>, Wyness thinks Iroegbunam may see his minutes increase at Everton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He told Football Insider\u2018s Inside Track podcast: \u201cThere\u2019s no chance now again, as you say, not only Gana Gueye with a potential suspension unless there\u2019s an appeal, and there may well be an appeal, but also the African Nations Cup he\u2019ll be gone for. <\/p>\n

Everton are also working hard to keep James Garner at the club, with the midfielder\u2019s contract expiring at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Nottingham Forest and Newcastle have shown interest in Garner<\/a>, who could leave on a free in the summer if he does not commit his future to Everton.<\/p>\n
