{"id":316624,"date":"2025-11-29T14:41:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T14:41:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/316624\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T14:41:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T14:41:07","slug":"new-bike-high-2026-worldsbk-expectations-for-kawasaki-we-need-to-be-in-the-top-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/316624\/","title":{"rendered":"New bike, high 2026 WorldSBK expectations for Kawasaki: \u201cWe need to be in the top 5\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Manuel Puccetti is expecting a substantial step forward in WorldSBK results to come from the updated Kawasaki ZX-10RR next year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">World Superbike<\/a> season was a tough one for Puccetti\u2019s team, renamed Kawasaki WorldSBK Team this year as it took on official Kawasaki status as a result of the new Akashi-supported Bimota project. New signing Garrett Gerloff finished only once inside the top-six and spent much of the second half of the year struggling to crack the top-10 after more promising summer spell.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">An updated version of the ZX-10RR is coming for next year, though, which Gerloff himself has confessed his own hopes for.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">For Puccetti himself, it\u2019s a bike that should be \u201ca very good step ahead\u201d.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe touched already the bike a few weeks ago in Jerez with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/995206\/garrett-gerloff\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Garrett Gerloff<\/a>,\u201d Manuel Puccetti told WorldSBK.com at EICMA.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe are happy. Many updates, not only aerodynamics and front fairing but also many other parts: suspension, engine, chassis, many other things on the standard bike. For sure, more will come on the new [race bike].\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cSo, I think, in general it will be a very good step ahead, and I believe it will be exactly what we need to do another step for the championship result next year for Superbike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He added that he feels his team needs to be contending for top-five results next year: \u201cWe need to improve the result of this year, 100 per cent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cSo, this year we was often in the top-10, one time in the top-six.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe need to be more inside the top-five \u2013 this is what we believe we can achieve.
