{"id":317362,"date":"2025-11-29T22:43:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T22:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/317362\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T22:43:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T22:43:07","slug":"f1-driver-at-risk-as-fia-launches-investigation-over-qatar-grand-prix-breach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/317362\/","title":{"rendered":"F1 driver at risk as FIA launches investigation over Qatar Grand Prix breach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The FIA has launched an investigation into an incident involving Williams driver Alex Albon and Esteban Ocon\u2019s Haas in qualifying at the Qatar Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>Albon qualified 15th for Sunday\u2019s race at the Lusail circuit, having finished bottom of the timesheets in Q2, as teammate Carlos Sainz reached the top-10 shootout.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Albon under threat as FIA launches Qatar Grand Prix qualifying investigation<\/p>\n<p>The FIA has confirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/fia-f1-qatar-grand-prix-alex-albon-esteban-ocon-decision\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Albon and Williams will face no further action<\/a>\u00a0since this article was originally published<\/p>\n<p>That came after an untelevised incident between Albon and Ocon, who qualified 17th, in the pit lane in Q1.<\/p>\n<p>Although footage of the incident is yet to emerge, a team radio snippet of Ocon reporting a near miss in the pit lane has surfaced online.<\/p>\n<p>Ocon is heard saying: \u201cThere was almost a crash there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His race engineer, Laura Muller, replies: \u201cCopy.
