{"id":319339,"date":"2025-11-30T21:54:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-30T21:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/319339\/"},"modified":"2025-11-30T21:54:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-30T21:54:10","slug":"st-george-junior-rugby-league-set-for-huge-2026-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/319339\/","title":{"rendered":"St George Junior Rugby League set for huge 2026 season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Junior rugby league registrations are now open for the 2026 season in the St George District with families set to benefit again from one of the most supportive and accessible junior sport programs in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragons.com.au\/news\/2025\/05\/08\/st-george-district-celebrates-record-junior-registration-numbers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a record-breaking year<\/a> of participation, St George District will once again offer free registration for all Mini and Mod League players (U6-U12) and a $100 subsidy for all female tackle participants (U13+) ensuring more boys and girls can take part in the game with fewer financial barriers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur goal is to make rugby league accessible for every family in the St George District,\u201d St George District Chairman\u00a0Craig Young said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy offering free registration for our youngest players and a subsidy for female tackle participants, we\u2019re continuing to open doors for more kids to get involved in the game and fall in love with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n  &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n  &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"blockquote__text\">\u201cWe\u2019re continuing to open doors for more kids to get involved in the game and fall in love with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tSt George District Chairman Craig Young&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The initiative, proudly provided by St George Leagues Club and supported by St George District Rugby League Football Club, continues the district\u2019s commitment to keeping rugby league inclusive, affordable, and community focused.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt St George Leagues Club, we\u2019re proud to continue supporting the next generation of players,\u201d St George Leagues Club CEO Craig Epton said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFree registration and player subsidies take away barriers and help kids enjoy all the benefits that come from being part of a team \u2013 connection, confidence, and fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Junior rugby league provides children with the chance to develop new skills, make new friends, and enjoy the physical and social benefits of being part of a team environment.<\/p>\n<p>For families juggling multiple registrations, the support is significant.
