\n\tThe defending national champion Huskies never trailed in the contest. UConn forced 31 Xavier turnovers, converting the miscues into 42 points.
\n\tVivien Neja\u0161mi\u0107<\/a> was the lone Musketeer in double figures, scoring a career-high 12 points. She was 3-for-8 from the floor and 5-for-6 from the foul line. The guard added four rebounds.
\n\tMacKenzie Givens<\/a> added nine points on 4-for-9 shooting. The guard\/forward added a team-high six rebounds and two blocks.
\n\tMariyah Noel<\/a> chipped in nine points, going 9-for-12 from the charity stripe. She added a team-high three steals and two assists.
\n\tMeri Kanerva<\/a> added three points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Petra Oborilova<\/a> finished with four rebounds and three points.\u00a0Luc\u00eda Mart\u00ednez L\u00f3pez<\/a>\u00a0had four rebounds.
\n\tXavier finished with a .217 field-goal percentage (10-for-46) and went 5-for-20 from behind the arc. The Musketeers were also 14-for-18 from the foul line.
\n\tSix Huskies reached double figures, paced by\u00a0Allie Ziebell’s game-high 16 points. UConn hit 50 percent of its three pointers (18-for-36).
\n\tUConn\u00a0won the battle on the glass, 45-30, and scored 30 more bench points (45-15). UConn also scored nine more second-chance points (17-8) and held a 35-8 advantage in fastbreak points.
\n\tA total of 3,536 fans attended Sunday’s game,\u00a0the 19th largest women’s basketball\u00a0crowd in Cintas Center history.
