It was a dominant showing from the Dallas Stars<\/a>, who topped the vising Ottawa Senators<\/a> 6-1 thanks in large part to a Wyatt Johnson<\/a> hat-trick.<\/p>\n The three goals puts Johnson, who netted a fourth hat-trick of his career, to 16 goals on the year. A dozen of those have come on power plays, with two of his markers on the day being on a man advantage.<\/p>\n Jason Robertson<\/a> is also on 16 goals after adding one more coupled with two assists in the win. The other scorers for the Stars were Mavrik Bourque<\/a> and Jamie Benn<\/a>. Mikko Rantanen<\/a> had three assists while Roope Hintz<\/a> also helped on two of the goals.<\/p>\n Dalls are now 10-1-1 in their last 12 games. Goaltender Casey DeSmith<\/a> made 15 saves on the night, improving his record to 6-0-2 in his last eight starts.<\/p>\n Ottawa’s only goal came from Jake Sanderson<\/a>, with David Perron<\/a> and Nick Cousins<\/a> adding the assists.<\/p>\n The Washington Capitals<\/a> continue to improve with a solid win at the New York Islanders<\/a>. Tom Wilson<\/a> got two of the goals while Logan Thompson<\/a> kept out the hosts until late in the third period.<\/p>\n The other goals for the Caps came from Aliaksei Protas<\/a> and Alex Ovechkin<\/a>, who added empty-netters at the end, giving Washington their fourth win on the spin and seventh of their last eight (7-1-0).\u00a0<\/p>\n Thompson has now allowed just four goals in his last three games.<\/p>\n The Islanders have fallen to 1-3-1 as part of a seven-game homestand after having a solid 6-1-0 road stretch.<\/p>\n A pair of goals and assists from Connor Bedard<\/a> helped the Chicago Blackhawks<\/a> erase a three-goal deficit to defeat the Anaheim Ducks<\/a> at home.<\/p>\n The other scorers for the hosts were Tyler Bertuzzi<\/a>, Ryan Greene<\/a>, and Colton Dach<\/a>, while Spencer Knight<\/a> came up big with 23 saves.
