Stephen Colbert<\/a> on Tuesday had some advice for America on how to deal with the rest of President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s second term in office: drink. <\/p>\n

The \u201cLate Show\u201d host said he read that passengers in auto accidents who are \u201ca little drunk\u201d are \u201ca little looser,\u201d making them less likely to have severe injuries than people who tense up before impact.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think at this point it would help if we were all just a little drunk because maybe then… it wouldn\u2019t be so painful when he drives the world into a telephone pole,\u201d Colbert said. <\/p>\n

The audience cheered \u2015 but his next update led to jeers as Colbert pointed out a proposal by Rep. Bob Onder<\/a> (R-Mo.) to rename the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.<\/p>\n

Under his \u201cMake Entertainment Great Again Act,\u201d it would become the \u201cDonald J. Trump Center for the Performing Arts.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cLate Show\u201d audience booed for a solid 7 seconds. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sensing you don\u2019t like that,\u201d Colbert responded. \u201cClearly, you are not eager to see Kid Rock dance the Nutcracker.\u201d <\/p>\n

Onder praised Trump as \u201ca staple of the pop culture landscape,\u201d and Colbert had to agree.<\/p>\n

The audience booed again. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, but it\u2019s true: Trump is a staple of pop culture,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cJust last week, he was great on \u2018South Park.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
