Heading into the home stretch of the NFL season, the New England Patriots<\/a> and New York Giants<\/a> are going in different directions.<\/p>\n The Patriots are in the middle of a resurgent season, as they take an NFL-best 10-2 record into the game on Monday night. Sophomore quarterback Drake Maye has taken the leap this year, making a legitimate case to win the 2025 NFL MVP award, as he has the Patriots in the driver’s seat to win the AFC East.<\/p>\n A big reason for New England’s success is head coach Mike Vrabel. The former Tennessee Titans<\/a> coach has made a huge difference in his first year as the Patriots’ head coach, getting the Patriots back to the glory days of leading the AFC, making him a favorite to win the Coach of the Year award.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Giants are in the middle of another lost season and are facing big changes in the offseason. New York fired head coach Brian Daboll a few weeks ago, and they fired defensive coordinator Shane Bowen last week as the defense has blown many leads this year.<\/p>\n On the bright side for the Giants, Jaxson Dart is back after missing the last two games with a concussion. The rookie was a bright spot for the Giants before his injury, proving that he was the right pick in the first round in April and has a chance to be a franchise quarterback in this league.<\/p>\n While this game features two teams with an eight-win difference in their record, Maye vs. Dart is a battle of two young quarterbacks with bright futures in the league.<\/p>\n The Sporting News is tracking live scores, updates and highlights from the “Monday Night Football” game between the Giants and Patriots. The Giants are across the 30, looking to add onto the lead.<\/p>\n 10:12 p.m.:\u00a0New England can’t find the end zone, and Borragales can’t add onto the lead.<\/p>\n He misses a 45-yarder and the score stays 30-7.<\/p>\n 10:10 p.m.:\u00a0The Patriots go for it on 4th & 6 and add insult to injury.<\/p>\n Maye connects with Diggs over the middle of the field for a first down, and New England is inside the 30.<\/p>\n 10:06 p.m.:\u00a0On the first third down he faces, Maye scrambles left and goes seven yards for a first down.<\/p>\n 10:01 p.m.:\u00a0The Giants come up with nothing on fourth down. Having to go for it on 4th & 6, Dart tries finding Johnson but it comes up incomplete.<\/p>\n Maye and the Patriots take over for their first drive of the half.<\/p>\n 9:59 p.m.:\u00a0Johnson has been Dart’s favorite target tonight, and he has a big reception on the first drive of the half.<\/p>\n Dart lobs one up to the tight end and No. 84 comes down with it on an 18-yard completion. The Giants are across midfield.<\/p>\n 9:56 p.m.:\u00a0The second half is underway in Foxboro.<\/p>\n Dart and the Giants offense, down 23, have the ball.<\/p>\n Halftime: Patriots 30, Giants 7<\/p>\n 9:43 p.m. FIELD GOAL:\u00a0Maye leads a four-play, 67-yard drive to set up a Borragales field goal as the teams go to the locker room.<\/p>\n Through 30, it’s all Patriots. Maye has 199 yards and two touchdowns as New England is 30 minutes away from being 11-2.<\/p>\n 9:40 p.m.:\u00a0New England is back in Giants territory. Maye finds Rhamondre Stevenson out of the backfield, and the running back has tons of space, bringing it to the New York 19 after a 36-yard gain.<\/p>\n 9:38 p.m.:\u00a0The Giants can’t move the ball down 20, and have to punt it back to New England.<\/p>\n Maye and co. have just over a minute to work with, looking to extend the lead.<\/p>\n Patriots 27, Giants 7<\/p>\n 9:33 p.m. FIELD GOAL:\u00a0On 3rd & 5, Maye and Henry are unable to connect.<\/p>\n Though, Borragales comes in to hit a 30-yarder, and the Patriots lead is 20.<\/p>\n 9:25 p.m.:\u00a0This night keeps getting worse for the Giants.<\/p>\n On the kickoff return, Gunnar Olzewski gets rocked by Ellis\u00a0\u2014 the same player who hit Dart\u00a0\u2014 and he fumbles. New England recovers and has the ball near the red zone.<\/p>\n Patriots 24, Giants 7<\/p>\n 9:22 p.m. TOUCHDOWN:\u00a0New England quickly drives down the field and the lead is back to 17 after a Drake Maye dime.<\/p>\n On 3rd & 8, Maye finds Kyle Williams in the end zone for a 33-yard score. Though, it gets worse.<\/p>\n New York sneds out the field goal unit, and Younghoe Koo can’t add anything on for the Giants. The back takes it 13 yards down to the New England 29.<\/p>\n 9:05 p.m.:\u00a0On 3rd & 1, Maye looks to scramble for the first down, but he is brought down by rookie Abdul Carter.<\/p>\n Carter missed the opening drives for what was called a “coach’s decision,” but he comes up big here with his first career sack.<\/p>\n New York has the ball back, trailing by 10.<\/p>\n Patriots 17, Giants 7<\/p>\n 8:58 p.m. TOUCHDOWN:\u00a0The Giants are on the board.<\/p>\n Right outside the 20, Dart hits Slayton, who is able to make defenders miss and roll into the end zone. But, an unnecessary roughness penalty moves the ball 15 yards.<\/p>\n End of the first quarter: Patriots 17, Giants 0<\/p>\n 8:51 p.m.:\u00a0At the end of one, it’s all Patriots.
