\n\tWednesday’s game can be seen live on truTV and HBO Max with Brandon Gaudin calling the play-by-play, Ronny Thompson providing analysis and Jared Greenberg reporting from the sidelines.
\n\tThe game can be heard locally on Team 980 and on the SiriusXM app with Rich Chvotkin on the call in his 52nd season.

\nABOUT THE HOYAS<\/p>\n
\n\tThe 2025-26 season marks the third year under Head Coach Ed Cooley<\/a>. In his second season, Cooley guided Georgetown to doubling its wins from the season before and finishing with an overall record of 18-16 and 8-12 in BIG EAST play. The squad earned a bid to the inaugural College Basketball Crown, advancing to the quarterfinals before falling to eventual Crown Champions Nebraska.
\n\tIn the last outing, Georgetown fell 78-65 to the University of Miami Hurricanes in the final game of the Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational on Friday evening in Kissimmee, Florida. Caleb Williams<\/a> tied for a game-best 23 points on 57.1% shooting with five 3-pointers and a perfect 2-for-2 from the line while leading the Hoyas with six rebounds and adding an assist and a steal. Malik Mack<\/a> chipped in 16 points fueled by eight free throws and two triples to go along with a game-best seven assists, three boards, and a steal. KJ Lewis<\/a> rounded out the double-figure scorers with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a contest-best five steals.
\n\tA quartet of Hoyas are scoring in double figures led by Mack who is tallying 16.7 ppg, while Lewis averages 16.6 ppg, C. Williams manages 12.0 ppg and Vince Iwuchukwu<\/a> notches 11.8 ppg. Mack’s 16.7 ppg ranks fifth in the BIG EAST Conference.
\n\tLewis leads the Hoyas on the glass with 6.1 rpg, followed by C. Williams with 5.6 rpg and Julius Halaifonua<\/a> with 4.3 rpg.
\n\tMack paces the offense with 4.3 apg, which ranks fourth in the league, followed by Lewis with 3.0 apg and Jeremiah Williams<\/a> with 2.3 apg.
\n\tLewis leads the BIG EAST and the Hoyas in strips with 2.7 spg while Kayvaun Mulready<\/a> tallies 1.7 spg.
\n\tBefore the start of the 2025-26 season, Lewis was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Second Team and Mack was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Third Team. The Hoyas were also selected sixth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

\nABOUT THE RETRIEVERS<\/p>\n
\n\tUMBC enters the matchup with a 5-2 start to the 2025-26 season.
\n\tThe Retrievers closed the 2024-25 season with a 13-19 record and a 5-11 mark in America East action.
\n\tIn its last outing, UMBC defeated Delaware State University, 71\u201357, on Saturday afternoon at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. Graduate student DJ Armstrong Jr. led the Retrievers with 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Junior Daylon Dickerson also had 12 points while junior Jah’Likai King and sophomore Caden Diggs each added 11 points.
\n\tKing leads UMBC in points averaging 12.9 ppg, Armstrong Jr. follows with 12.0 ppg and Josh Odunowo rounds out the Retrievers, averaging 9.5 ppg.
\n\tKing leads on the glass with 6.0 rpg, while Dickerson manages 4.9 rpg and Riley Jacobs averages 4.6 rpg.
\n\tAce Valentine paces the Retriever offense averaging 5.2 assists per game.
\n\tThe Retrievers are led by Head Coach Jim Ferry in his fifth season.

\nABOUT THE SERIES<\/p>\n
\n\tGeorgetown and UMBC will meet for the eighth time in program history, with the Hoyas holding the 7-0 edge in the series.
\n\tThe last meeting between the two teams was December 2, 2024 with the Blue & Gray taking the 86-62 win at Capital One Arena. Thomas Sorber<\/a> led the Hoyas with 23 points and eight rebounds on 6-for-7 shooting from the field and an 11-for-12 performance at the charity stripe. Jayden Epps<\/a> added 16 points on seven made field goals, followed by Mack with 13 and Caleb Williams<\/a> with 10 off the bench. Sorber was selected by the NBA Champions Oklahoma City Thunder with the No. 15 pick in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft
\n\tCooley maintains a 1-0 record against UMBC.
\n\tThe Hoyas hold an 11-0 record against the America East Conference while Cooley is 21-1 against the conference.
