This year\u2019s list includes 504 regional hospitals \u201cthat have demonstrated superior outcomes,\u201d 20 of which were named in the Honor Roll, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor most Americans, health care decisions are made close to home. The Best Regional Hospitals rankings underscore the difference high-performing local medical centers make,\u201d Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News, said in the release. \u201cThese local hospital rankings, entirely performance-driven, equip individuals and their families, in consultation with their medical providers, to choose the highest quality care available in their own communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to U.S. News, these rankings include multiple new data refinements like using weight-based composite scoring and evaluating the risk-adjusted survival rates of both Medicare Advantage and traditional Medicare beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

Additionally, two new cohorts were added to the Best Hospitals\u2019 Procedures and Conditions ratings methodology \u2014 heart arrhythmia and pacemaker implantation \u2014 for a total of 22 ratings.<\/p>\n

The Best Hospitals Honor Roll in alphabetical order includes:<\/p>\n
