He wasn\u2019t originally scheduled to fight Todd, who was only called up at the last minute after Richardson\u2019s previous opponents, first Damon Maireroa and then Antonio Elo, pulled out.<\/p>\n

Todd is a highly experienced kickboxer who has reached the finals of King in the Ring on multiple occasions.<\/p>\n

In the fight with Richardson, Todd was knocked down in the first round, however, he hung on until the end of the four-round fight.<\/p>\n

Now Richardson has his sights set on BX9, where he will take on Auvaa.<\/p>\n

Auvaa made his professional boxing debut on the Lani Daniels-Alrie Meleisea IBF world heavyweight title undercard in 2023, when he defeated Tyrone Warren by stoppage.<\/p>\n

However, Auvaa lost his second fight against Tauranga\u2019s Rini Porter.<\/p>\n

Auvaa is not unfamiliar with BX9, as he fought a semi-pro\/hybrid boxing match against Oliver Parker in the last event, losing by a close split decision.<\/p>\n

For the BX9 event, Richardson joins 27 other boxers, including four from Waikato.<\/p>\n

\" Emile Richardson will take on Auckland’s Ioane Auvaa at the BX9 event on December 13.<\/p>\n

The local fighters include Kianu Johnson, Pikiao Tairua Bracken, Greer Hall and Francis Waitai.<\/p>\n

Hall will fight Masterton\u2019s Sarah Linton, while Waitai will be part of the main event, fighting Mielifeier Dalielibieke, of China, for the WBA Oceania Super Middleweight title.<\/p>\n

Hall has had an amazing year, winning at the 2025 Queensland Open International Golden Gloves, the New Zealand national amateur championship and Queen of the Ring.<\/p>\n

She also claimed a bronze medal at the 2024 World Under-19 Championships and has just been named on the longlist for the next Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n

Waitai, of Hauraki, has a record of 12 wins, three losses and one draw. He currently holds the IBO Asia Pacific super middleweight title.<\/p>\n

The BX9 event will take place on December 13 at Eventfinda Stadium in Auckland. It was originally scheduled to take place at Due Drop Events Centre.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available online via Eventfinda, but the event will also stream live on pay-per-view with CSN.WATCH.<\/p>\n
