{"id":324460,"date":"2025-12-03T07:15:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T07:15:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/324460\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T07:15:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T07:15:12","slug":"tarantino-open-to-animated-vega-bros-film","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/324460\/","title":{"rendered":"Tarantino Open To Animated Vega Bros Film"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/tarantino-open-to-animated-vega-bros-film.jpg\" data-caption=\"Miramax Films\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/tarantino-open-to-animated-vega-bros-film.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"tarantino-open-to-animated-vega-bros-film\"\/><\/a>Miramax Films<\/p>\n<p>Quentin Tarantino\u2019s recent collaboration with Fortnite on the animated short \u201cYuki\u2019s Revenge\u201d seems to have inspired the filmmaker, who is considering the animated format for some other long-gestating passion projects.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/quentin-tarantino-teases-idea-animated-kill-bill-origin-story-11856898\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EW<\/a> to promote the short and this weekend\u2019s \u201cKill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair,\u201d Tarantino says working with motion-capture technology and animation on \u2018Yuki\u2019 has led to him considering one of his most famous unmade films \u2013 the \u201cVega Brothers\u201d movie:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI could see some world between this and Japanese anime that I could find some happy medium or, you know, between the things that I couldn\u2019t physically do, like say the Vega Brothers movie, or something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rumored since the late 1990s, Tarantino was considering the project as his \u201cJackie Brown\u201d follow-up before ultimately deciding on the two-part \u201cKill Bill\u201d films.  The original film would\u2019ve seen Michael Madsen\u2019s Vic Vega\/Mr. Blonde from \u201cReservoir Dogs\u201d teaming with his brother, John Travolta\u2019s Vincent Vega from \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Events would\u2019ve taken place during the period Vincent was running a club in Amsterdam, just prior to \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d.  Madsen passed away earlier this year, but an animated film could theoretically work.<\/p>\n<p>Tarantino has found his name in the headlines today, as during the reveal of his Top 10 list of 21st-century films, he made some disparaging remarks about actor Paul Dano\u2019s acting abilities that have gone viral.
