Rock \u2018n\u2019 roll fever has officially hit Perth<\/a> with AC\/DC ready to deliver two explosive rock shows \u201cpeople love and don\u2019t get enough of\u201d at Optus Stadium on Thursday and Monday nights.<\/p>\n

After months of planning their Power Up tour and already playing to rave reviews in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, the legendary Aussie band<\/a> is \u201cexcited\u201d to be back in Perth performing to 90,000 fans across two concerts.<\/p>\n

AC\/DC heads of production Dale Skjerseth and Will Keating have spent months planning the mammoth stage, which is made up of 300 tonnes of steel and features 28 tonnes of speakers pumping out 500kw of power when combined with lighting, video and rigging.<\/p>\n

The production gear was shipped to Perth from Adelaide via 26 trucks, and 155 crew members got to work, building the set across four days.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe started at 8am this morning, and we are done and completely ready for everybody,\u201d Mr Skjerseth said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all excited that we\u2019re here. We always like touring down here, and I know the guys like touring down here.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the best part is we\u2019re not all young anymore, so we get to do it with days off between shows. We enjoy our time, and it\u2019s gonna be a fantastic show. The band is excited.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Skjerseth said Perth can count on AC\/DC for a \u201csolid rock show that people love and don\u2019t get enough of anymore\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can always count on exactly what they do every time, and songs and all of that. It\u2019s meat and potatoes, same thing every day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen rock bands come around, it\u2019s good for (fans) to come and enjoy a good band that comes and plays like they\u2019re a live band.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s the generations now, it\u2019s the grandfather and the son and the grandson, and you see them all and kids on the barricade rocking out. It\u2019s great to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

AC\/DC\u2019s long-term Australian promoter Christo Van Egmond said the shows will be \u201can explosion of light and sound\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a big stadium, and we\u2019re set to absolutely blow the roof off,\u201d he said, adding fans are guaranteed to walk out of the venue \u201cecstatic with a massive smile on their face\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve worked on about 60 plus shows and seen over 100, and they get better and better over time.\u201d<\/p>\n
