Celtic slapped Rangers 5-1 at Parkhead<\/a>, in one of the most memorable derby games in recent times.\u00a0<\/p>\nAs many would remember, before the game, Barton ran his mouth like he had come up from England with a trophy-laden career, and not more relegations than trophies to his name.<\/p>\n
Whilst every Celtic fan knows Brown toyed with Barton on that day.<\/p>\n
Waghorn, who came off the bench for Rangers on that day, stated Brown gave Barton the \u2018absolute run around.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking on Under The Cosh, Waghorn even shared that Mark Warburton, the then Rangers manager, was warning Barton about his gobby antics. <\/p>\n
Not long after, Barton was out of the Ibrox door and going down as one of the worst players to have graced Scottish football.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we drew with them once (out of five games that season),\u201d said Waghorn. \u201cWe got battered at their place 5-1 or something. It was tough. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe signed Joey Barton, Clint Hill, and Niko Kranjcar, so we had big personalities. Joey was spouting his mouth, \u2018Oh, we are going to win.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd battering Scott Brown in the press. \u2018It\u2019s only Scotland. I am going to find Scotland easy.\u2019 <\/p>\n
\u201cThe gaffer, Mark Warburton, was like, \u2018Joey, you need to be quiet. It\u2019s not like England. You can\u2019t just say stuff. It\u2019s getting out there.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cScott gave him the absolute run around. It was a tough day. It was hard because there were exceptions on us. I think the gaffer found it hard. The lads found it hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
