{"id":325439,"date":"2025-12-03T18:02:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T18:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/325439\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T18:02:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T18:02:13","slug":"here-i-come-trailer-brings-in-sarah-michelle-gellar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/325439\/","title":{"rendered":"Here I Come Trailer Brings In Sarah Michelle Gellar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since the Radio Silence duo \u2013 aka Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett \u2013 announced that they\u2019d be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/ready-or-not-2-in-the-works-at-searchlight-samara-weaving-and-radio-silence-set-to-return\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">returning to the world<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/reviews\/ready-or-not\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ready Or Not<\/a>, we\u2019ve been bursting for it. Bursting with excitement yes, but also with gore and viscera. So, quite literally, hold on to your butts: the first trailer for Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come has arrived, and it looks like things are about to get a whole lot worse for Samara Weaving\u2019s Grace. Because, after the, er, explosive climax of the last film (if you haven\u2019t seen it, you really need to get caught up), the wider Le Domas dynasty is coming for her \u2013 including Sarah Michelle Gellar\u2019s Ursula. Plus, Grace has assistance from her sister, Kathryn Newton\u2019s Faith. Check out the trailer:<\/p>\n<p>We are, as Ayo Edebiri would say, too seated. That looks like a blast, with all the wit and gore and pulpy fun that made Ready Or Not such a horror hit. And adding Buffy The actual Vampire Slayer into the mix is stellar move for a sequel \u2013 we even see Gellar impaling Weaver\u2019s Grace, slayer-style. Ouch! This is a nice meeting of worlds for Radio Silence, who last worked with Newton on their previous film, vampire ballerina horror <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/reviews\/abigail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Abigail<\/a>. She has previous horror credentials, of course, from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/reviews\/freaky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Freaky<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/reviews\/lisa-frankenstein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lisa Frankenstein<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/reviews\/paranormal-activity-4-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Paranormal Activity 4<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Also starring in this one are Elijah Wood, Lost\u2019s N\u00e9stor Carbonell, Kevin Durand (who also starred for Radio Silence in Abigail), and the legendary David Cronenberg. Yes, that David Cronenberg! Here I Come also sees original writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy return on script duties \u2013 clearly the Ready Or Not world is one the entire creative team wanted to come back to.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll see if Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come (look, let&#8217;s all just agree to drop the \u20182\u2019 when we read it out loud) lives up to the original when it hits cinemas on 10 April.
