Spotify Wrapped is here for 2025.<\/p>\n

Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny has reclaimed his spot as top global artist for 2025 after losing to Taylor Swift in 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\n

Bad Bunny had more than 19.8 billion streams in 2025 and held the title for top global artist in 2020, 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n

How can I see my Spotify Wrapped?<\/p>\n

If you want to see your Spotify Wrapped, you need to make sure the app itself is up to date.<\/p>\n

When you have updated the app, it should appear as soon as you open Spotify.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the streaming habits that defined your year, you’ll be sorted into one of six clubs \u2014 each representing a unique listening style.<\/p>\n

Monthly top tracks:<\/p>\n

Top tracks of each month in 2025 \u2014 giving us a time capsule of the country’s moods season to season.<\/p>\n

Artists take music off Spotify to boycott AI<\/p>\n

Several Australian artists, including King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Deerhoof and Leah Senior, have removed their work from the global streaming platform.<\/p>\n

The removal of their music from Spotify comes after it was revealed in June that Spotify’s chief executive, Daniel Ek, led a billion-dollar investment into Helsing, a German military technology company that specialises in developing artificial intelligence systems.<\/p>\n

Why are musicians and listeners boycotting Spotify?<\/a><\/p>\n

A growing number of artists and users are leaving Spotify. What’s changed with the streaming giant? And what comes next?<\/p>\n

In October, Spotify took down a song called I Run by Haven, which went viral on TikTok after it was allegedly made with artificial intelligence using a “clone” of British singer Jorja Smith’s vocals.<\/p>\n

Smith’s record label FAMM said it wanted a share of the royalties from the song as it believed the track was made with AI trained on her work, and is seeking compensation<\/a>, BBC reported.<\/p>\n

‘No music for genocide’<\/p>\n

Although many artists still have their music on streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify, more than 1,000 artists have geo-blocked their music so it cannot be streamed in Israel.<\/p>\n

Some of the artists include: Lorde, Paramore, Clairo, and Amyl and The Sniffers.<\/p>\n

Despite a fragile ceasefire currently in place, No Music for Genocide organisers said they are continuing the boycott amidst additional air strikes in Gaza<\/a>, NPR reported.<\/p>\n
