Lake Belton High School Girls Basketball Coach Tiffney Barnes has officially earned her 100th career win with the team’s victory over Stratford.<\/p>\n
BELTON, Texas \u2014 One Belton ISD coached marked a major milestone this November, 100 career wins.<\/p>\n
Belton ISD announced that Lake Belton High School Girls Basketball Coach Tiffney Barnes earned her 100th career win on Nov. 13 with the Bronco’s victory over Stratford.<\/p>\n
The team celebrated Barnes’ accomplishment during a game against Harker Heights, which they would also go on to win.<\/p>\n
\u201cHitting 100 career wins represents years of sacrifice and growth both on and off the court,\u201d Barnes said. \u201cWe have faced challenges, leaned on the people who support us and learned from the moments that shaped us. It shows how far we have come and motivates us to keep pushing forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
Barnes said the biggest lesson she has learned in her career so far is that “success is rooted in consistency.” She also thanked all those who have helped her along her path to 100 wins.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is not about one big moment,\u201d Barnes said. \u201cIt is the daily habits, the discipline and the preparation. Every win taught me something, whether it was how to handle pressure or trust the work we put in. And you cannot do it alone. Teammates, coaches, mentors and supporters have shaped every step of this journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
Even while celebrating the proud occasion, BISD said Barnes is focused on what comes next.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe journey is never over,\u201d Barnes said. \u201cThere is always someone working to get better, so we must keep grinding and never become comfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n
Belton ISD Athletic Director Sam Skidmore congratulated Barnes on the achievement and voiced his praise for her contribution to the Girls Basketball program.<\/p>\n
\u201cCoach Barnes sets high expectations and models the work it takes to reach them,\u201d Skidmore said. \u201cHer consistency and leadership have strengthened the Lake Belton girls basketball program, and we are proud of her.\u201d<\/p>\n
