Marc Marquez knows that he is one of the greatest MotoGP riders of all time and is about to write even more history in 2025 with Ducati.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard leads the MotoGP<\/a> title race by 120 points at the summer break, signalling an almost undisputed level of dominance. With 19 wins in 24 races, few have been able to get near him.<\/p>\n

The momentum is entirely on Marquez\u2019s<\/a> side, too, having taken victory in each of the last five sprints and Grands Prix combined.<\/p>\n

He and Ducati<\/a> currently form one of the greatest partnerships of all time, and they\u2019re only in their first full season together.<\/p>\n

Marquez could go back to Honda one day<\/a>, but any such move would be complicated and require a lot of convincing. His new home in Italy is delivering everything he wants, and he might be about to create even more history.<\/p>\n

If he carries on, Marquez can break one of his incredible MotoGP records<\/a> within the next five races. His teammate Francesco Bagnaia can\u2019t get near him and Aprilia don\u2019t quite have the machinery to beat him yet.<\/p>\n

Marquez may have started to lose an \u2018absurd\u2019 trait<\/a>, according to ex-rival Andrea Dovizioso, who thinks that he\u2019s a little less capable than in previous years.<\/p>\n

Yet the 32-year-old still continues to dominate. What does that say about his competitors? There isn\u2019t anyone on the current grid that he picks to be in his dream six-rider MotoGP grid.<\/p>\n

Speaking to TNT Sports<\/a>, Marquez included the likes of Valentino Rossi and Mick Doohan in a list of who he would like to face in a six-man showdown.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe dream will be Dani Pedrosa, [Jorge] Lorenzo, Valentino [Rossi]. That three guys I compete against them. Then, [Casey] Stoner, then [Mick] Doohan, he\u2019s another one. Already five? And me. [Laughs].\u201d<\/p>\n

Lorenzo pinpointed a Marquez weakness<\/a> recently and knows exactly where he is vulnerable, after competing for titles with him for half a decade. Three titles of his own are a reason why Marquez picked him to be in his top six.<\/p>\n

What does Marc Marquez need to achieve to be considered the greatest MotoGP rider of all time?<\/p>\n

At the rate he is going, Marquez is pushing himself into the conversation of the greatest rider of all time, if he wasn\u2019t already in it.<\/p>\n

With 96 victories, he\u2019s just 26 behind all-time leader Giacomo Agostini, and 19 from Valentino Rossi. He would love to surpass both.<\/p>\n

Winning around 75% of the races on offer before the end of 2026, just before new regulations come into effect, would see him earn the most wins and probably the most 500cc titles of all time.<\/p>\n

By then, it would be hard for anyone to deny that his talents are the greatest of all time and that his achievements are the best bar none.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
