ALBANY, N.Y. \u2013 The University at Albany women’s golf team and head coach Colleen Cashman<\/a> have officially announced the program’s 2026 spring schedule.
\n\u00a0
\nThe schedule features five total events. The team will travel to Florida three times, New Jersey once, and will make a special trip to Bermuda for the first time in program history.
\n\u00a0

\nThe team is set to start in late February in the Columbia Classic at Duran Golf Club before heading back to Florida a short time later for the Howard Lady Bison Invitational at Hawkstone Country Club.
\n\u00a0
\n“This upcoming spring will certainly be exciting for many reasons,” said Cashman. “Starting off the season with two trips to Florida before we play our MAAC Conference Championship will be helpful, giving us the opportunity to practice and compete on Bermuda grass, which is very different from the bent grass we see week in and week out in the fall. The Columbia Classic, along with the new Howard Lady Bison Invitational, will be very exciting to begin the spring season.”

\nThe Great Danes will then head outside the United States to Bermuda for the Bermuda Triangle Collegiate, held at the Port Royal Golf Course.

\n“Highlighting our spring will be our ‘showcase’ event in Bermuda, which I added as a bucket list trip for our two terrific seniors, Lucia [Esteban] and Prime [Aungsuseewong]. Every four years, it has been my goal to take my seniors to a memorable place, just as we did in 2017 when we competed in Maui. Unfortunately, COVID-19 got in the way in between these two special places, but we are looking for a return visit to Maui in 2027!”

\nThe team wraps up the season with a short trip to New Jersey to battle in the Rutgers Invitational before ending the year at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course for the MAAC Championship.

\n“We’ll conclude our spring with a return trip to Rutgers, along with another trip back down to Disney World to hopefully capture our fifth MAAC Championship! With nine excellent players and a competitive schedule in place, I’m looking forward to big things in the future!”
