There are only five weeks left in the regular season. As Week 14 begins, the Dallas Cowboys<\/a> will go on the road to face the Detroit Lions<\/a> for “Thursday Night Football.”<\/p>\n Both of these teams played on Thanksgiving. The Lions were upset by the Green Bay Packers<\/a>, while the Cowboys held strong at home and beat the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Dallas enters Week 14 with a 6-5-1 record. The Cowboys sit in second place in the NFC East and trail the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> by two games. If the playoffs started today, Dallas would be on the outside looking in. Only seven teams will make the NFC’s playoff bracket, and the Cowboys are currently the No. 9 team in the NFC.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Lions’ loss to the Packers hurt their playoff standing. Detroit is now also outside the NFC’s playoff picture. The Lions had a chance to head into Week 14 atop the NFC North, but instead they sit in third behind the Chicago Bears<\/a> and the Green Bay Packers.
