THE Bend Motorsport Park has snapped up promotional and managerial responsibilities for TCR Australia going forward.<\/p>\n

That will see the series revived in 2026 for a five-round calendar run exclusively at Tailem Bend and Mallala.<\/p>\n

The full schedule is due to be released on Wednesday December 10.<\/p>\n

The Bend takes the reins after a one-year stint by the Malaysian-based David Sonenscher, who was installed by TCR global promoter WSC Group<\/a> after the Australian Racing Group elected to step back<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are committed to the motorsport industry. We also believe that we share the responsibility of promoting categories that support aspiring motorsport enthusiasts,\u201d said The Bend managing director Sam Shahin.<\/p>\n

\u201cTCR is a global category that deserves its rightful place in Australian motorsport.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur involvement is a testimony to the category, the brands it represents, and the teams and drivers that see it as a pathway to World TCR abroad, or a pathway to other categories in Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n

WSC founder Marcello Lotti, who has publicly noted the TCR World Tour won\u2019t return to Australia in 2026, said: \u201cThe Bend is a world-class facility with a world class reputation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to work with Motorsport Australia and The Bend to deliver TCR Australia in 2026. We hope to build on this relationship in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Motorsport Australia general manager for motorsport operations David Stuart added: \u201cMotorsport Australia has worked closely with WSC and The Bend to ensure that TCR has the right framework and support to succeed in Australia.<\/p>\n
