\n\tEmerald Fennell<\/a> is hopeful about Wuthering Heights<\/a> as the film\u2019s premiere gets closer.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe director wants the movie starring Margot Robbie<\/a> and Jacob Elordi<\/a> to become a phenomenon that people watch in theatres multiple times.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI want this to be this generation\u2019s Titanic,\u201d Robbie told British Vogue<\/a>, recalling what Fennell told her. \u201cI went to the cinema to watch Romeo & Juliet eight times, and I was on the ground crying when I wasn\u2019t allowed to go back for a ninth. I want it to be that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRobbie noted that they are hopeful that people \u201cgo see it with 10 of their female friends,\u201d adding that she thinks \u201cit\u2019s going to be an amazing date movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen the trailer for the film dropped, the steamy scenes shocked viewers, but Robbie clarified that it\u2019s not as \u201craunchy\u201d as people might expect.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEveryone\u2019s expecting this to be very, very raunchy. I think people will be surprised. Not to say there aren\u2019t sexual elements and that it\u2019s not provocative \u2013 it definitely is provocative \u2013 but it\u2019s more romantic than provocative,\u201d Robbie said. \u201cThis is a big epic romance. It\u2019s just been so long since we\u2019ve had one \u2013 maybe The Notebook, also The English Patient. You have to go back decades. It\u2019s that feeling when your chest swells or it\u2019s like someone\u2019s punched you in the guts and the air leaves your body. That\u2019s a signature of Emerald\u2019s. Whether it\u2019s titillating or repulsion, her superpower is eliciting a physical response.\u201d<\/p>\n
